Has a 50MP VCS True Color Camera, with Sony IMX921, f/1.88, Auto Focus, OIS. To record videos, it already supports up to 4K60 or 8K30. Then there is a 50MP Ultra Wide-Angle camera, f/2.0, Auto Focus.
Not to be outdone, the camera can also be used for taking Super Macro photos. What is that? So, we can take photos of relatively small objects and make them look big and clear. Camera telefoto with 50MP, Sony IMX816, f/1.8, Autofocus.
For video recording, it already supports up to 4K30. So, to record video at 60 fps, the iQOO 13 automatically crops from its main camera. Overall, this built-in camera will produce 12.5 MP photos by default. But if we want to take photos with 50 MP resolution, we first have to activate the High Resolution mode.
There’s also the LED Flash, which design is very similar to a ring light, but this is just a regular LED flash, not like the function of a ring light.
Next, there are the Pano feature, Ultra HD Document feature, Slowmotion feature (this feature can support up to 1080p 240 fps), there are also Long Exposure, Supermoon, Astro, Tilt-Shift, Fisheye features, and many more features.
What’s make us impressed of iQOO 13?
Now, what really impresses us is the Monster Halo feature. What is its function? So, its function is like a notification, right? When we listen to music, when we charge the smartphone, or when a notification comes in, this feature will turn on the lighting.
Not only that, the Monster Halo feature can also be used while playing games, so there are several games that can utilize this feature to create special effects when we perform certain actions during gameplay. For example, when we play Genshin Impact, when we use the Elemental Burst, the Monster Halo lighting will turn on, and there is also an option to activate RGB lighting by enabling the “Atmospheric Light Effect,” with options for effects and colours from the RGB lighting itself. So cool, right!
For those of you who don’t like RGB lighting, we can just turn it off, and in our opinion, the design of the Monster Halo itself is quite safe because it doesn’t disturb when turned on. Lastly, there is also an IR Blaster sensor in the camera area.
What do you all think? This flagship from iQOO 13 is really awesome, right!
Let’s discuss iQOO 13 specification
Where the processor itself already uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which is the latest premium SoC from Qualcomm. There is also the Supercomputing Chip Q2, which functions as support to ensure that the performance of the Snapdragon 8 Elite remains stable for handling heavy tasks, such as playing games with super high resolutions.
For the Flagship variant that we tested, it already uses 16 GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 513 GB UFA 4.1 internal storage. Then there is also a variant with 256 GB of internal storage and 12 GB of RAM.
And For the iQOO 13 smartphone, we did not find any memory card slot!
Cooling Systems
For the cooling system, it uses the VC Ultra 7K Cooling System with a vapor chamber of 7000 mm2, and next, we will see how much the cooling system affects the performance stability of the iQOO 13. For the battery itself, it has a capacity of 6150 mA, which we can say is quite large for a smartphone of this class. It has 120W FlashCharge (and it’s really fast, fitting for its battery capacity).
Has an Accelerometer Sensor, e-Compass, Proximity Sensor, and many more. Meanwhile, for connectivity, it supports 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, but unfortunately, it doesn’t support eSIM yet. The Wi-Fi is already using series 7, but this series 7 cannot be used in Indonesia yet, as it has only reached Wi-Fi 6 for now.
Meanwhile, the Bluetooth itself is already version 5.4, which supports LDAC, Adaptive AptX, AptX, AAC, and SBC codecs. For the NFC itself, it can already emulate an access card. Already equipped with USB 3.2 Gen 1 that supports USB OTG, so if we want to transfer data quickly, we can just plug it directly into the computer.
iQOO 13 Display Out
How about the Display Out? Of course, for premium class smartphones, this feature is definitely available! can be used for screen mirroring. There is also an IR Blaster in this smartphone.
In terms of security, it already uses Ultrasonic 3D Fingerprint and Face Unlock.
For the operating system uses Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. For the updates themselves, they are provided for up to 4 years, but unfortunately, there is no clear information regarding this update, whether it is an Android version update or a security patch update.
There is an always-on display feature, and after we conducted tests, the screen indeed stays on continuously. By default, the V-Appstore often shows notifications related to app recommendations, but of course, we can disable them.
The last part of this review is about its AI feature, which includes AI Erase that can remove objects from photos that we want to delete.
The AI feature is, of course, present in this smartphone. For example:
AI Erase to remove unwanted objects that appear in the photos we take. Like this, right? See, it can disappear, right? Then there’s also the Circle to Search feature that we can use to search for information that will be displayed on the screen in a flash!
